Lol Aram Tier List: The Best Champions to Play
Posted: 11 Sep 2024
Apart from ranked solo queue, ARAM stands out as the most popular League of Legends game mode due to its casual and spontaneous gameplay.
However, despite its laid-back nature, ARAM does have a strategic meta which favors certain champions that outperform others in this specific surrounding.
LoL ARAM Tier list - best champions

Z Tier champions
Janna - Janna’s versatility is her main strength because she can opt to build support or full AP.
Despite the massive balance nerfs, she is still one of the most superior champions when it comes to shielding and CC.
Veigar - He is one of the most OP ARAM champions because of his ability to infinitely increase his AP faster than in Summoner’s Rift.
Pair that up with Veigar’s insane damage and extremely annoying cage, and you have the most broken ARAM mage in the game.
Jinx - Jinx’s passive is the most OP aspect as it’s very easy to get a takedown in a hectic ARAM setting.
Jinx’s rockets also deal an insane amount of damage in extended teamfights, especially since champions are always grouped up tightly.
Nami - A perfect combination of CC, healing, and damage make Nami a very potent ARAM pick.
Given that her E now procs on abilities, she is a very flexible champion that adapts and boosts every ARAM team comp.

S Tier champions
Carries
Lux - despite dealing 15% less damage and receiving 10% more, Lux could only be dethroned to the S tier spot, previously being the best ARAM champion for years.
She is still a very powerful and flexible pick due to her low cooldowns and spammable CC.
Sivir - Sivir excels as one of the best ARAM ADCs because of her consistent damage output and incredible wave clear.
Unfortunately, a set of balance nerfs prevent her from being in the rightful Z tier spot, but she still remains a formidable choice that shouldn’t be rerolled.
Sona - Arguably a Z-tier pick, Sona is a very powerful support mage, comparable to Nami in terms of CC and the healing she provides.
Unlike Nami though, Sona can carry games in terms of damage because of her ultimate which is a complete game changer in ARAM.
Fiddlesticks - This bush-dwelling AP carry is one of the best ARAM picks due to his ult that can singlehandedly win games if not respected by the opposing team.
On top of that, he is one of the very few sources of bush vision in this game mode because of his Effigies.
Caitlyn - Caitlyn’s main strength in Summoner’s Rift perfectly transitions to ARAM, which is her ability to control the map.
Her long range AA’s and traps allow her to bully low-range champions, combined with her ultimate which becomes very potent if she builds lethality.
Tanks
Sion - The unkillable tank wrecks havoc in ARAM, just like in Summoner’s Rift, abusing items like Heartsteel and Warmong’s to their fullest.
Furthermore, his passive is very annoying to deal with given that teams are constantly fighting and killing each other on the map.
Viego - Several aspects of Viego’s kit work well in an ARAM setting, most notably his consistent damage and healing.
However, the #1 thing that makes Viego OP is his passive that he can abuse in teamfights, becoming unkillable and getting multikills.
Wukong - The Monkey King is one of the best AD bruisers on ARAM because of his CC and damage on ultimate.
Additionally, his passive benefits from constant skirmishes, providing additional tankiness.
Darius - When it comes to tanks, few do it better than Darius on ARAM because of his combat-tailored kit.
He can consistently get 5 stacks which turn him into a damage-dealing demon capable of singlehandedly winning teamfights.
B and A tier champions
While not as prevalent as S and Z-tier champions, these picks are among the best LoL ARAM champions and they command respect in every Howling Abyss game.
All of the picks in this tier have well over 50% win rate in this game mode, making them a viable option if you don’t get roll one of the most OP champions in the top two tiers.
