Sentinels have established themselves as the driving force in competitive Valorant after clutching the victory in a historic best-of-five series against Gen-G in the 2024 Masters Madrid tournament.

The abundance of individual talent in this team is simply undeniable, having some of the best players in the world with names such as Zekken and Tenz.

Zekken in particular is having an outstanding 2024, topping the charts in terms of performance stats in the Masters Madrid which resulted in him taking home the MVP award.

Apart from winning the Masters tournament that has netted them 3 important season points, Sentinels has also seen plenty of success at a regional level this year as well.

The standout result is certainly the victory over rivals LOUD which saw Sentinels lift another Americas League trophy, adding more important points to their tally in the process.

Small margins often make the largest difference and very small margins have kept Gen-G from getting the top spot on the list, most notably their defeat in the 5th game of the Masters tournament final.

Even though their tournament run was only strong enough to get them a silver medal, other Gen-G’s results have been nothing short of outstanding in 2024.

The Korean powerhouse mostly dominated their region by winning the Pacific kickoff and getting a second-place finish in the Pacific Stage 2 tournament.

Throughout 2024, Meteor and T3xture have been standout performers, leading in crucial statistical parameters such as KDA and ACS/Map.

Moving forward, Gen-G is certainly one of the favorites to take home the crown of the 2024 World Championship, especially since they will have some of the strongest support given that it’s played on their home soil in Korea.

Paper Rex is a team that always almost makes it to the biggest stage but comes up short, having finished second in the 2023 World Championship.

This trend continued in 2024 where Paper Rex qualified and looked strong enough to win Masters Madrid but only finished in third place.

As far as regional success goes, Paper Rex went toe-to-toe with Gen-G in terms of dominating the Pacific Valorant scene, having beaten them in the most recent Pacific Stage tournament.

In the past few years, Paper Rex’s F0rsaken stood out as one of the most talented and lethal Valorant players in the world, but other teammates such as Jinggg and Something have stepped up in the past few months with outstanding individual performances.

This led to an invite to the Shangai Masters tournament where Paper Rex is one of the favorites to win the entire tournament.

Fnatic’s failure to qualify for the Masters Madrid due to their lackluster performance at the 2024 EMEA kickoff dampened their start of the 2024 season, having lost twice to Team Heretics in the span of a single tournament.

However, passion and resilience are what defined Fnatic for years, and their comeback after that tournament has been impressive, having bounced back with a win in the EMEA Stage 1 tourney.

This has earned Fnatic an invite to the Masters Shangai tournament which is one of the biggest events of the year where they’re among the favorites to win it.

One of the team’s biggest strengths is the consistent roster with household names in competitive Valorant such as Boaster, Leo, and Alfajer.

All of these players are talented and skilled enough to singlehandedly change the outcome of rounds and matches, which could be Fnatic’s catalyst to winning the 2024 World Championship.

Even though LOUD has had its fair bit of shaky moments in 2024, it still possesses one of the most talented rosters capable of showing up at the biggest stages.

Qck’s sudden departure suggested that there was a certain level of miscommunication and lack of cohesion among the teammates which held them back from more tournament success.

Their most notable results in 2024 are the 4th place finish in the Masters Madrid tournament as well as a runner-up finish in the Americas Kickoff where they were bested by bitter rivals Sentinels.

LOUD has the international pedigree and the experience of winning the biggest trophy in the world as the former World Champion.

They still have the core of that squad intact with Less and Saadhak still at the helm of LOUD which provides them with a strong foundation to build more success in 2024 upon.
